What difference is there between
the blue and yellow Phentermine capsule?
30mg,
yellow Phentermine capsules and 30 mg blue Phentermine capsules act in the
same way. They both contain the same active ingredient - Phentermine
Hydrochloride. Both are manufactured by Eon Labs. The blue/white type is a
Fastin generic, and the yellow a generic Phentermine. All the ingredients
are identical. The only difference is the color, make up and price.
Be advised that the yellow capsule is not a generic
form of Ionamin. There is no generic equal for Ionamin. This is a time
release, resin type of Phentermine. The 15 mg capsules are merely a lower
dose type of Phentermine.
Phentermine in 37.5 mg is generic for Adipex-P this is
manufactured by Purepac. The only distinction between the Adipex-P brand
name; manufactured by Gate Pharma and the generic is price.
For more technical facts, please feel free to contact
Eon Labs and Purepac.
Please explain Fastin®?
Fastin® was the old brand name of Phentermine which
was produced by King Pharmaceuticals for SmithKline Beecham. But SK-Beecham
withdrew Fastin® from the market in Decmber 1998. As Fastin® is no longer
produced or sold, it is not included in our Phentermine section.
What is Adipex®?
Adipex® is a brand name for the Phentermine made by
Gate Pharmaceuticals.
And Ionamin®?
Ionamin® is a brand name for Phentermine that is
marketed by Celltech. Ionamin®. These capsules utilize a special delivery
system, to deliver Phentermine, known as resin matrix. Even though other
Phentermine products are available on the market, none contains this resin
matrix.
Is there a difference between
Ionamin and Adipex?
Ionamin is a time-release resin formula of Phentermine
wheres Adipex is a brand name for Phentermine Hydrochloride. Ionamin's
time-release formula is the method that causes this tablet to last for a
longer period of time, but with a milder effect. Adipex is assumed to last
10 to12 hours but the difference between these
products is subjective.
Is it possible to take
Phentermine and Xenical simultaneously?
No clinical study has been regarding the use of
Phentermine with Xenical. But prior to use of any prescription medication,
please consult your physician regarding your entire medical history, also
include any other medication you might be using even if non-prescription.
Your doctor will determine if you may safely take Phentermine and Xenical
together based on this.
What is Phen-Pro?
"Phen-Pro" is a cocktail (combination) of Phentermine
("Phen") and a minimal dose of Prozac (“pro”) combined. Any of these
antidepressants: Celexa, Zoloft, Luvox, Effexor or Trazadone might be
applied in lieu of Prozac.
In the Phen-Pro cocktail. the use of an antidepressant
is not related to depression itself. The cocktail is required as the effect
of Phentermine, if used alone, lessens more over time. The Phen-Pro cocktail
facilitates Phentermine to work better and for a greater period of time.
Phen-Pro is certainly considered to be "off-label",
the implication being that the FDA, does not approve of it. But again, once
the FDA has given approval to a drug, doctors may prescribe it however they
wish. It does seem that the combination of Phentermine and Prozac does not
seem to trigger the problems that have resulted from Fen-Phen usage.
Is Phentermine an Amphetamine, is
there a similarity?
No, Phentermine is not classified as
an Amphetamine but it is chemically similar to the Amphetamine family.
